ICLCA Affiliate Award

The ICLCA Affiliate Award, introduced in 2023, recognizes the outstanding professional development and leadership opportunities fostered by an ICLCA Affiliate.  This award is generously supported by Tutor.com and provides a $1,000 award that the affiliate can use to promote future leadership opportunities for affiliate members.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the ICLCA Affiliate Award is to:

• Recognize Affiliate organizations that have provided extensive professional development opportunities for their state/regional members; and
• Showcase the Affiliate’s commitment to critical topics and discussions that positively impact the work of learning center professionals at all levels (entry level through Director).

AWARD CRITERIA

Please limit your materials to 3-4 pages (MS Word document). Be sure you have addressed each bullet point below. In addition, you are encouraged to provide one letter of support from an affiliate member describing the impact that professional development opportunities have had on their growth (one page). This letter would count towards the maximum length of your award submission. 

APPLICATION PROCEDURES/REQUIREMENTS

To nominate someone for this award, please complete the Awards Form. 

• A one-page cover sheet with your name, title, address, institution, e-mail, and phone number
• A detailed report of the professional development opportunities and formats provided to Affiliate members within the most recent academic year;
• How the professional development offerings have contributed to the growth of learning center professionals in your state/region; and
• How this award would facilitate new or expanded professional development opportunities for Affiliate members.

GENERAL AWARD PREFERENCES & REQUIREMENTS

All members are welcome to apply for awards and grants. However, preference will be given to those who have not won the award in the last 2 years.

Membership to ICLCA is required before nominating or applying for an award or grant.  An affiliate member must also become a member of ICLCA to be eligible for awards and grants.
