The purpose of the ICLCA Frank L. Christ Outstanding Learning Center Award is to give national recognition to the work done by learning centers and to foster their future growth and development.
Beginning with the Annual Conference in 2003, the ICLCA Executive Board has honored learning center professionals who have contributed an extraordinary amount of service to the learning center profession, including research, publications, service, and leadership.
The purpose of the ICLCA Innovative Use of Technology Award is 1) to recognize individuals, learning centers, or institutions that use innovative technology solutions focused on the learning center to improve student learning, assist learners who may learn differently, improve resource usage, increase student engagement, or enhance learning strategies and 2) to encourage proliferation of innovative uses of technology to other learning centers so that students everywhere may benefit.
All graduate students who present at the ICLCA annual conferences are eligible for this award. No application is necessary other than submitting the annual conference proposal, indicating graduate student status on the cover sheet of the proposal, and registering as a graduate student at the conference.
ICLCA PRESIDENT'S OUTSTANDING LEARNING CENTER
AWARD FOR SPECIALIZED POPULATIONS
The purpose of the ICLCA President’s Outstanding Learning Center Award for Specialized Populations is to give national recognition to the work done by learning centers that provide learning services to a limited specialized population and to foster their future growth and development.
The ICLCA Affiliate Award, introduced in 2023, recognizes the outstanding professional development and leadership opportunities fostered by an ICLCA Affiliate.
This award is generously supported by Tutor.com and provides a $1,000 award that the affiliate can use to promote future leadership opportunities for affiliate members.
The purpose of the ICLCA Brenda Pfaehler Professional Grant is to foster the professional growth of our members. It will be awarded to members of ICLCA to assist in research, leadership, and/or curriculum innovation.
Dr. Karen Quinn served as the 1992-93 ICLCA President (then Midwest College Learning Center Association). The Karen Quinn ICLCA Institute Scholarship will be awarded the spring prior to the Institute. ICLCA is honored to name a scholarship in Dr. Quinn's memory.

The Hunter Boylan Research Scholarship is awarded to recognize research related to how Learning Centers contribute to student academic success as well as persistence.
The purpose of the ICLCA Learning Center Collaboration Grant is to provide financial assistance for at least two learning center professionals from two separate post-secondary institutions who will collaborate and share the load of conducting research or the development of program initiatives.
The purpose of this between $500-$1000 grant is to help learning centers who have suffered due to a natural disaster replace material quickly.

GENERAL AWARD PREFERENCES & REQUIREMENTS
All members are welcome to apply for awards and grants. Preference will be given to those who have not won the award in the last two years.
Membership to ICLCA is required prior to nominating or applying for an award or grant. An affiliate member must also become a member of ICLCA in order to be eligible for awards and grants.
