An external review of a learning center can occur for several reasons: 1) to provide an objective view of operations and services that can lead to systemic changes and to reinforce the value/necessity of academic support; 2) as part of a comprehensive review based on best practices (e.g., ICLCA tutoring best practice guide, CAS standards) or an institutionally-designed framework; or 3) to help an institution navigate complex political challenges for finite resources.
ICLCA has also developed some suggested packages to help you determine what will best meet your campus’s needs.

Consultants:
ICLCA has identified the following individuals who have: 1) X # of years in the profession; 2) earned an ICLCA Learning Center Leadership Certification at level 3 or level 4 (lifetime achievement); and 3) are active in the profession. Their cumulative experience is essential in helping learning centers conduct a comprehensive review of their operations and services using research-based best practice guides.
